Product Description

The Fuse VERT is a premium vinyl audio system updated for the modern age. This beautiful Mid-century modern design is a real head-turner that safely plays your favorite records in a vertical position for all to see.

Fuse Audio has taken the plain record player and flipped it up. A perfectly balanced and counter-weighted tone arm plays records in a vertical position without any fear of wobbling from side to side. Each tone arm is dynamically adjusted to ensure the tracking force is applied at the correct weight (4g) without damaging the records. This sets a steady sound even when the vinyl has a wobble preventing anti-skating.

Fuse VERT isn't limited to just vinyl either. It features an FM radio that remembers your favorite stations and Bluetooth 4.1 connection for wireless streaming. You can also connect via 3.5mm audio jack, or upload your playlist onto a flash drive and instantly connect via USB.

FAQ
How do you account for the extra force on the record groove due to the needle being pulled by the different amount of gravity from the tone arm’s weight? Won’t this put excessive wear on the record groove so that it wears the tiny bumps badly?

This is offset the reduced gravitational force from platter being vertical at 85 with a higher tracking force than traditional players would have. With the tonearm in a vertical position, the counterweight does receive less gravitational force, which is balanced with a larger spring-loaded counterweight. If the tonearm is placed in a horizontal position, the larger counterweight creates an imbalance of tonearm weight with the weighted side being heavier than the arm and needle. At this point, it would need around 2g of force to create a perfect balance. A tracking force is applied with a spring mechanism set to 4g tracking force. This prevents skating and keeps the needle in the groove, especially when playing a vinyl with a visible wobble or warp without putting excessive wear on vinyls. This was tested on several records played over a thousand times with minimal degradation of the grooves.
