To play, gather at least three other players and designate each quadrant from 1-4. There should be one person in each square. If more people want to play, they can line up outside square one and they'll step in when someone is eliminated.

The objective of CROSSNET is to make it to the fourth quadrant where a player can serve and score. When in the fourth square, the player serves diagonally to the second quadrant, who then returns the ball to any other square. Each player is allowed only one hit per return. When the ball lands on the ground, the player who misplayed it is eliminated and either returns to the first square, or the back of the line if there are more than four players. The remaining players then rotate clockwise. Whenever a player is eliminated, the fourth square receives a point. Players keep their points when eliminated. To win, you must play to 11 and win by two.
