COUP celebrates the end of the decade in style with the exclusive, commemorative NYE 2020 COUP NYE Champagne Saber Package.

The 2004 Vintage Brut is from J de Telmont, a 4th generation boutique champagne producer located in Damery, France. This limited edition New Year 2020 label has been cellar aged and disgorged (the step to remove the aging yeast) this year, which means an incredible 15 years of aging since harvest. The minimum requirement for vintage champagne is 3 years, with most of the big brands ending at 8 years. With such long aging, this champagne develops a finer set of delicate bubbles that are smaller in diameter. And the long maturation on the lees yields a more complex, layered taste.

Some of COUP Champagne's first collections came from the independent craft house of J. de Telmont. Founded in 1912 with the family motto "Glory to champagne," four generations would go on to write the history of the brand through a completely hands-on process that continues today. Their harvest by hand ensures delicate precision. The art of tiré-bouché liège, or aging on natural cork, is carried on. The wine-making and aging take places in foudres (large oak vats), and riddling is still done by hand. Their family proudly perpetuates their traditions with passion and an ongoing search for excellence, better Champagnes, and an expression of their history.

Included for your New Year's celebration is an illuminated saber. A fully functioning champagne saber, it features three high powered LEDs that illuminate a transparent polycarbonate blade strong enough to smash open that bottle of bubbly even in the darkness of night. The handle is engraved with COUP de Sade, which pays tribute to the controversial French rebel. Whether you celebrate or scorn him, this is a one of a kind experience to ring in the next decade.

Finally, the included carrying case is designed so that you can travel safely anywhere your New Year's party takes you. It's dustproof, waterproof, shockproof, and weatherproof.
