This coin is an unusually nice high-end survivor with a sharp strike. The strike on this coin showcases the intricate details of the design, making it a beautiful addition to any collection.
If you look on the reverse of the coin the strike is off center, making this an error coin.
Error coins are much harder to find because the mint highly scrutinizes all coins for a perfect strike. It is very rare that these coins are released from the mint into the public. When they were striking the reverse, the coin shifted to the right
NGC encapsulation guarantees the coin’s MS-66 condition.
The Mercury dime is a ten cent coin struck by the United States Mint from late 1916 to 1945.It is also referred to as the Winged Liberty Head dime, it gained its common name because the front of the coin depicts a young Liberty, identifiable by her winged Phrygian cap and was confused with the Roman god Mercury. The coins reverse depicts a fasces, symbolizing unity and strength, and an olive branch, signifying peace.
This coin is encased and sealed by NGC. Every NGC certified coin is backed by the industry leading NGC guarantee, which provides greater protection for both BUYERS AND SELLERS.
